Activities

PGGM Vermogensbeheer B.V. carries out the responsible investments activities on behalf of Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn. These activities include the following:

1. Taking responsible investment decisions 
   The pension fund is convinced that financial and social returns can go hand in hand. Investment decisions are taken on the basis of this view.  

2. Promotion of socially responsible behaviour 
   The pension fund requests companies to take responsibility for people and planet. There are various ways to promote socially responsible behaviour, such as engagement activities.

3. Exclusion of companies and government bonds
   Since 1985, the pension fund has applied criteria whereby it does not invest in certain companies and government bonds. For example, companies producing controversial weapons are excluded.

4. Investing in socially responsible projects 
   The pension fund also invests in projects to develop new technologies. These projects have a clear social value.
